A max cashout on a casino bonus is a ceiling on how much of the bonus’s winnings you can withdraw. The promotion’s terms set it, commonly as a fixed amount, a multiple of the bonus or a multiple of the deposit. Typically, you meet the wagering requirement first; the cap is applied when you withdraw, and the excess is removed.
This is an evergreen explainer; no operator’s terms were read for it, so unattributed figures are illustration.
What does max cashout mean on a casino bonus, in numbers?
Take a $50 bonus, wagering finished, and $800 of bonus-play winnings.
- Fixed amount. A $100 cap leaves $100 withdrawable.
- Multiple of the bonus. A 5x cap is $250.
- Multiple of the deposit. On a $50 deposit, 10x is $500. That is the shape one AskGamblers forum poster described in 2016: a balance just over $2,000 cut to $500.
Does a max cashout apply to your own deposit?
In Great Britain, official guidance treats the deposit side differently. The Competition and Markets Authority’s advice for gamblers, updated 29 August 2018, says you should be free to walk away and keep what is left of your deposit and the winnings earned from play with it. The Gambling Commission’s guidance on maximum withdrawal limits, last updated 15 February 2022, tells operators not to rely on any term imposing a maximum limit on withdrawals from the Deposit Balance. Its glossary puts winnings from wagers made with the deposit inside that balance.
This desk read all three pages on 24 October 2026. None of them names a max cashout or a win cap, so this post draws no conclusion on whether any given cap is lawful. Those pages concern Great Britain only; other markets set their own rules, and their terms were not read for this post.

Max cashout questions
What is a max cash out?
It is a bonus term that limits how much of the winnings made with a bonus can be withdrawn. The limit is set in the promotion’s terms, commonly as a fixed sum or a multiple of the bonus or deposit, and anything above it is typically removed from the balance when you cash out.
What does max win from bonus mean?
It is usually the same clause under another name: the largest amount of bonus-derived winnings the terms let you keep. Some sites also run a separate general maximum-win rule. Which one applies, and how it is worded, is in the promotion’s terms.
What does 10x max cashout mean?
It means the withdrawable amount from the promotion is capped at ten times a stated base, usually the deposit or the bonus; the terms say which. On a $50 deposit, a 10x deposit cap means $500, the figure one AskGamblers forum poster reported in 2016.
The headline is the bonus; the cap decides how much leaves the site, and it lives in the terms, which change. Read the current ones. Bonus Wire publishes no bonus codes. 18+; gamble responsibly, begambleaware.org.
